Cheeseboro Canyon
Palo Comado Canyon
Las Virgenes Canyon

This is a primo and very popular area with almost two dozen trails and fire roads, only a couple of which are closed to bikes. The trails connect to the Wood Ranch and Lang Ranch areas through China Flat. Cheeseboro and Palo Comado Canyons are part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

Directions: From the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills, take the Chesebro exit and go north. On the north side of the freeway, follow the road as it curves left. At the stop sign on Chesebro Road, turn right and drive for about 3/4 miles, over the single-lane bridge, and turn right into the Cheeseboro parking lot. Continue a few hundred yards to the upper parking lot.

Alternatively, you can turn north onto Las Virgenes Road from the 101 Freeway and park at the end of the street, at the Las Virgenes Canyon trailhead.
