Day 3 We stopped at the Little Colorado River and hiked up about a mile to swim.

Day 3 The beautiful blue water makes a nice contrast to the red cliffs of the Grand Canyon!

Day 3 The milkiness and blue color are caused by fine calcium carbonate silt that forms in the water as it tumbles over rocks and mixes with oxygen from the air.
