When we broke for lunch, we had a hard time finding somewhere to sit that wasn't covered with ashes

More rockfall to clear

We built a drainage here to help keep the trail below it from getting more entrenched that it already was
SAM_1087.jpg
Looking at the drain from below, you can see that there was quite a high berm to cut through. We chose this spot because the berm was signiricantly lower than other places.

The oak trees on Danielson Road were singed, but didn't appear to be seriously harmed

This geocache didn't survive well. No doubt it will be replaced soon enough.

After we finished for the day, we drove down to Danielson Multiuse Area (camping ground) to see how it looked. The camping area was unharmed except for the poison oak that used to grow under the trees

The damage on one side of the road was major, but only slight on the other side. No doubt it was helped because the grass was recently cut for the Santa Monica Mountains Trail Days a few weeks ago.
